The Claimant's
neck pain symptoms were consistent with suffering an
injury to the spinal
tissues of the
neck.
For example, under this system, anyone with a «minor
injury» such as soft -
tissue damage in their
neck would be likely to receive the exact same amount of compensation and treatment, regardless of their personal circumstances or their individual extent of pain and suffering.
While the word whiplash often carries a negative or less - than - real connotation, the
injury can be serious, especially when the whipping motion causes damage to the bones or discs in the spine or
tissues in the
neck.
