On low
speed add the flour mixture in thirds alternating with buttermilk in 2 equal additions, beating until smooth after each addition and scraping down the sides of the bowl a few times.
In a food processor add butter and sugar pulse to combine slightly a few time, add egg and vanilla, combine until
smooth add flour mixture pulse a few times until almost combined.
Slowly
add the flour mixture in 3 additions, alternating with the coconut milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
With mixer on low,
alternately add flour mixture in three parts and sour cream in two, beginning and ending with flour mixture; mix just until incorporated (do not overmix).
With mixer on low,
alternately add flour mixture in 3 parts and buttermilk in 2 parts, starting and ending with the flour mixture; scrape down bowl as needed between additions.
I mixed the butter, egg, cream and cheese together with the hand mixer, and then stirred in the diced apple and sausage with a wooden spoon
before adding the flour mixture (also with a wooden spoon).
