For the past two years, PDK has asked whether respondents «favor or oppose allowing students and parents to choose a private school to
attend at public expense.»
The public continues to oppose allowing parents and students to choose a private school to
attend at public expense, but with 50 percent opposed to public funding of private school attendance and 44 percent in favor, it is apparent why this is a hotly debated issue.
PDK asked a nationally representative sample of the American public the following question: «Do you favor or oppose allowing students and parents to choose a private school to
attend at public expense?»
Twenty times since 1993, PDK surveys have asked: «Do you favor or oppose allowing students and parents to choose a private school to
attend at public expense?»
