I think most people would rather believe in one thing with the possibility of being proven wrong
then believe in nothing and that one day nothing exploded for no reason and became everything.
But unless you have an alternative that meets the same criteria as your passionate argument against religion I can not understand the logic
in believing in nothing.
But when this universe dies my particles will become the nothing and that leads me back to
