With summer approaching, I knew that
cooking brown rice for 45 minutes right before we eat dinner would be out of the question.
One cup of
cooked brown rice contains 45 grams of total carbohydrates, which is 34 percent of the minimum recommended daily allowance of 130 grams.

This is delicious just as written - I added a cup or so of
cooked brown rice at the end to round it out and make a meal of it.

If you want to include grain in your puppy's home made food, the safest and most easily digestible options
include cooked brown rice, oats, barley and quinoa.
Start with 3/4
cup cooked brown rice; then top, toss, and enjoy these seven meals that go way beyond the everyday.
Cook the brown rice according to the package instructions (combine 1 cup short grain brown rice with 2 cups water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 50 minutes).
This method
of cooking brown rice makes exactly what it says: fluffy and tasty brown rice in a rice cooker!
Just replace the 1/3 cup instant ice with about 2/3 to 1 cup of cooked white rice (you can also
use cooked brown rice, if you'd like!)
