Paul Wells of the Toronto Star wrote at the end of July that Canada should be ready to
fight a trade war, «as soon as a Trump presidency stops being hypothetical.»
The spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce for China was quoted on Friday saying, «China doesn't want a trade war, but we're not afraid to
fight a trade war.»
«China does not want to
fight a trade war, but it is absolutely not afraid of a trade war,» the ministry said in the statement.
