It won't mean that you're magically better than the mom who
gets an epidural at a hospital by any means.
Luckily, I had learned a very painful lesson during the delivery of my first son — I didn't waste any time
on getting my epidural this time.
At the same time, the risk of epidural side effects are low, and the obvious advantage
of getting the epidural — pain relief — is a totally valid and important point.
I am strong because after 32 hours of labor, I decided to
get an epidural even though it was against my birth plan.
For whatever reason, some women feel
like getting an epidural is somehow cheating or makes them not as strong as mothers who have given birth without medicine.
When you add in the other reasons not to
get an epidural such as slowing labor, the risk of c - section is greater when you receive an epidural.

Im nervous to not

up getting an epidural at 10 Cm due to exhaustion and pain and I like the fact that Lynn never made me feel guilty for choosing this path on my journey.
I will admit now that there was a moment during my labour that I thought «Ok, I understand why
people get epidurals, but I want to do this on my own» — and I did.
I made the decision to not
get an epidural early in my pregnancy, and was shocked at how many people told me I'd change my mind, or laughed in my face, or told me I didn't have to be a martyr.
Aside from healthy mom and healthy baby, Celeste Bancos» other birth goals were of to

This is merely anecdotal, but I have heard several women say that they weren't dilating properly and getting prepped for a c - section,
including getting an epidural, and the epidural allowed them to relax and dilate and then be able to give birth naturally.
