Anyway, getting back to the dinner dilemma, (although I'm sure my rambling has shown you exactly why I'm having
trouble getting dinner started on time — SQUIRREL!)
In the past, I've made a similar vegetarian chili in my slow cooker, and that recipe is great if you like to
get dinner started in the morning and have it ready without any additional fuss later in the day.
A goat cheese salad with pistachio, confit of tomato and port
dressing gets dinner started before the main course, a seared halibut with wild rice.
In the back of my mind is all the household stuff, switch the laundry and while that's running, load the dishwasher, and then while they're both running,
get dinner started.
We will
get dinner started, you will finish feeding kids, play for a bit, then put them to bed.
Sure, I could
get dinner started but ten minutes to just hang around guiltlessly is pure bliss and I take advantage of it.
The other spouse feels guilty having the «free» time to run a fast errand or wait at home and
