In part 1 of this duct design series, I discussed the basic physics of
moving air in ducts.
Luckily, we have a little fan to
move the air around in our tiny apartment, but this weekend wasn't pretty inside.
Wind turbines that harness the power
of moving air are often very large.
It works by
moving air through a fan to create the noise, and that consistent sound helps a sleeping brain stay asleep.
The ceiling fan, on the other hand, is built to keep the occupants of a room comfortable
by moving air gently.
Fast moving air just doesn't maintain enough «contact time» for heat exchange.
They're also prone to heat exhaustion, since they do
n't move air very efficiently because of their faces.
The 114 air outlets and multiple long fingers
help move air through your hairs.
Much of the front and side design cuts are tailored to smoothly
move air over and around the large surfaces for better aerodynamics and fuel economy.
If using a dryer, make sure it's not on a hot setting, be sure to
move air flow around frequently.
Try placing it in a room
with moving air to pull away moisture, like a room with a fan.
To be clear, a fan at its most basic level
simply moves air — it doesn't cool the air.
Fans moving air in a manner that would cool down your engine bay, could be considered a coolant.
Whenever these units
moved air for heating, cooling or ventilation every cubic foot of air passed through a filter bank of pleated high efficiency filters.
Also, this stream of water carries with it an oxygen flow because any continuous movement in a
direction moves the air and with it, oxygen.
In commercials, the company explained these products feature something called «
moving air technology,» which involves pockets of shifting air.
Their sound and the way
water moves air can be very relaxing and beneficial for something like this.
The muscles around the
lungs move the air in and out of the lungs by a process of contraction and expansion.
If you set your pressure on the leak down tester too high, you can
actually move air past the piston rings and give a false diagnosis.
Always provide fresh water and shade, and
moving air if possible, to an outdoor pet.
This perfectly reflects the seasonal character of these
great moving air flows that have a profound influence on the climate.
Fans do not change the air temperature, but they can maximize the effectiveness of your A / C or heater by
moving the air throughout the house.
Keep the door to the attic closed during the day to trap the cool air in and install a ceiling fan overhead to
move the air around at night.
There is a wonderful impression
of moving air and deep distance that holds this delicious tension with certain asserted edges that bring us back to the surface of the picture - plane.
There is a vent system, or a straw, inside the bottle that
moves air through the formula.
Some engines do not use a liquid coolant and instead rely on direct cooling of the engine
by moving air.
Activating the ANC offered a slight bump in volume (+1 to 2 decibels) and, as expected, removed some outside noise, including the low whir of
moving air from my ceiling fan and the road noise from traffic passing outside my window.
Force dryers depend
on moving air at high speed to both blow water off the dog's hair and help evaporate it.
When this force counteracts buoyancy, it can potentially
move air bubbles downward within the surrounding fluid.»
The airfoil shape of the wing causes air to move faster over the top of the wing than below, resulting in an upward lift from the
slower moving air beneath the wing.
The differences between wind turbine and ceiling fan blades arise from the contrasting design criteria: the wind turbine is intended to capture high - velocity wind to generate electricity efficiently; the ceiling fan needs to
move air at low velocity with inexpensive components.
Adiabatic warming of
downward moving air produces the warm Chinook wind Chinook winds / ʃɪˈnʊk /, or simply chinooks, are foehn winds [1] in the interior West of North America, where the Canadian Prairies and Great Plains meet various mountain ranges, although the original usage is in reference to wet, warm coastal winds in the Pacific Northwest.
Engines propel the plane forward, keeping a steady flow of fast -
moving air across the wings.
Ice crystals form where the air is coldest: on the crests of atmospheric waves, which are created far below
as moving air rises and falls over mountains.
Atmospheric scientists at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory included irrigation in a climate model and found that it shifts the balance of water vapor and
upward moving air.
Toyota added the new TRD Desert Air Intake snorkel to the Tacoma's option list, which
moves the air intake to the top of the cabin.
