speaking the truth in love, what matters is not how you think you are speaking, but how others think you are speaking.
In considering these three steps, where in your life would you love to
speak your truth with more openness and confidence?
Just last week a friend of mine asked if there was anyone who consistently
spoke truth into my life.
There will be a sign up sheet if you choose to
speak your truth so come early in order to get a spot on the list.
So the question is this: What would it take to be ourselves and
speak our truth while also maintaining a climate of emotional safety in our important relationships?
I
think speaking the truth in love, learning to laugh at situations we can not change and being free to laugh at ourselves are all healthy responses.
Along my hero's journey, I learned how to trust my inner voice that
spoke the truth before my mind could quite grasp it.
Surely, being a prophet
means speaking truth to power, shaping future trends, saying «hold on a minute» when the consensus is forming?
As observed previously on this blog, the academy no
longer speaks truth to power, but speaks official truth on behalf of official power.
