We can not
use almond flour in our house (my son is allergic), do you have any recommendations for a substitute?
I had been testing a muffin
recipe using almond flour earlier in the day, which is a flour I don't play around with often enough.
Sure — you can use any flour for this — like I stated in the post you could just
use almond flour as well.
Place the almonds in a bowl (you can
also use almond flour which is also available on the market) and cover them completely with water.
They are gluten free and they also happen to be paleo as I have
used almond flour which gives them a dense and rich consistency.
Unless you need a very light texture (cake) or white color there won't be a problem with
using almond flour with the skins on.
Just a comment
on using almond flour, you can't substitute for 1:1 for grain or bean flours, I know, I tried it.

using the almond flour version... silly question, but I'm just going to start with the mixing part of the recipe and carry on, correct?
I will be making these over my normal banana bread to keep it healthy and definitely going to try adding nuts and
maybe using almond flour to see how it works out.
