As part of my summer wedding blog series, I've chosen the best dresses, shoes and accessories to
wear to a beach wedding with a casual dress code.
I got this cardigan years go, with the attempt to
wear it to the beach as a cover - up since it's really lightweight.
It looks like something you would have
worn to the beach in the 80s (sadly, I'm old enough to know).
Featuring a frontal zip and with straps, you can
wear it to a beach party or as a casual outfit with high waisted jeans or skirt.
If I were lucky enough to win, I would spend the money on new makeup brushes and a few outfits to
wear to the beach next month!

I ignored everybody and rifled through all of my boxes to piece together a hot - weather - appropriate suitcase (I never did find the red bikini I had in mind or the comfy Vionic flip - flops I
typically wear to the beach).
My friends at Sweaty Betty sent it to me and I love it but don't think I'd
realistically wear it to the beach because I'm a big «if you can't tone it, tan it» believer when it comes to my midsection (LOL).
It's not see through (from what I know so far anyway) and the fact that it's not amazing quality means I'm not afraid to batter it around in places like this, or
wear it to the beach without the fear of salt and my own clumsiness destroying it.
I SHOULD wear mine to outdoor festivals or any time I'm going to be outside in the sun (and not working out) but I'm bad and typically
only wear mine to the beach.
I have to get my hubby one of those waterproof Birks because we need to retire those dated (SUPER dated) ones he
always wears to the beach and pool.
Don't get me wrong, I love my more cosmopolitan outfits for dining out in DC, but throwing on a comfy dress with the sandals you
