Although I worked in the technical field of nuclear chemistry, I enjoyed taking some of the things I worked on, expanded the subject and
then wrote short fiction.
Okay, so there are some really good reasons to
write short fiction even if you are primarily interested in longer writing projects.

If I'd spent that
