toast notifications with a progress indicator to show progress to the user, such as download progress, exercise progress, etc..

The offiical Twitter app's new

notification in action If there was one nagging issue
with the official Twitter app for Windows Phone, it was the inability to get
Toast notifications for new mentions or re-Tweets.
Doug Rathbone, a Web Applications Consultant, has published an article on his blog recently outlining a bug he has come across when developing on the Windows Phone 7 platform
with regards to the 260 character limit for
toast (push)
notifications for live tiles, which can reportedly be a pain when pulling a tile from an SSL path that contains security keys and other parameters.
The app properly notifies me
with a
toast notification when there is activity.
These future
toast notifications will show more relevant information, and
with bigger images, new button styles, better discoverability, and other improvements, they will offer a richer user experience.
