I didn't follow the instructions to an exact T but it almost didn't matter: I removed all the

on a pan for about 15 min, and did not let it sit for 2 hours because it was already late by the time I wanted to use it for enchiladas!
I buy sesame
seeds that are already
toasted, but if yours aren't, you can simply roast them in a pan with a little butter or oil
on low to medium heat.
Chia and hemp
seed (used in their whole / unground form) are also excellent sources of fiber that can be added in a similar fashion (hemp
seed also works well sprinkled
on salads and avocado
toast, bringing a mild nutty flavor and pleasant texture) and chia is yummy in slurry and pudding form.
I chose banana slices, chia
seeds, and a hearty dose of my tropical
toasted coconut stovetop granola, but feel free to use whatever you have
on hand — you can't go wrong!

on bulking this up made me remember a salad I invented a couple of summers ago — couscous, a crunchy veg or two, diced peaches or other fruit, well -
toasted slivered almonds or pumpkin
seeds, and mint or parsley or basil or some other herb.

In a medium pan,
toast (shake the pan frequently to prevent scorching) the pepitas and sunflower
seeds on medium heat until they release their oil and give off a nice toasty aroma.
TOAST the caraway
seeds for about 5 - 7 minutes or until the spices are aromatic and begin to take
on a golden color.
Sprinkle a few
toasted pumpkin
seeds and bacon pieces
on top and you'll forget all about the snow.
Our go to breakfast for our 2 little girls are either greek yogurt w / a little honey, cinnamon, chia
seeds and fresh fruit or whole wheat
toast with a little cream cheese and fruit

Variation For a more elegant presentation, serve
