In place of the BBQ sauce, I increased the water and added a tbsp of molasses as well as 2 more tbsp of
tomatoe paste.
She would par boil it in broth, then add it to a rich ragu
of tomatoe sauce and let it slow cook for hours.
Doesn't that overcook the meat And not a fan of tomatoes.could I still
use tomatoe sauce?
I just made this recipe with the last of my
cherry tomatoe crop, before removing the plants from my garden for the winter.
I would throw in mint and

I did add some ginger, curry powder and
tomatoe paste to the chickpea mixture and substatuted Tahini for the final oil.
