tonight with some tomatoes from our garden and some store - bought,
with basil from our window sill... It was gorgeous!
A favorite is squash
with goatscheese and spinach, but
tonight we had risotto
with tomato, beets,
basil and romano cheese.
When it's warmer out: burgers, grilled pizza (probably once a week — always using your crust —
tonight it's
with proscuitto and arugula), grilled thighs or wings, pasta still at least once a week (although sometimes cold — I make a pasta salad
with fresh mozz, cherry tomatoes, and pesto), your zucchini strand spaghetti, BMT's — grilled sandwich
with basil, mozzarella, and tomato
with olive oil and balsamic, grilled eggplant sandwiches from Elise's website, black bean and goat cheese quesadillas from an ATK magazine
Was going to make pasta
with a pretty standard tomato &
basil sauce
tonight, but I might have to reconsider!

tonight and drizzled over pasta along
with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and fresh
basil - delish.
I will make this
tonight and serve it
with Ina Garten's Fresh Corn Salad (fresh corn, red onions,
basil, cider vinegar, olive oil, and S&P).
I added some fresh
basil to my dinner
tonight too as you can see — I love using fresh herbs in my cooking whenever possible — if you have one of my meal plans you're familiar
with the delicious weekly pestos!
So, instead of those prosciutto - wrapped sea scallops
with romesco, summer bean salad and
basil - sherry vinaigrette, enjoy a turkey, cheddar and bacon flatbread sandwich
tonight, and rest easy knowing that you've saved yourself some cash — and are that much less likely to have eaten a roach.

basil to go
with that drool - worthy tomato and mozzarella salad you threw together for
tonight's potluck, you won't have to go very far.
