If this were 1980 instead of 2015, there could have been more of a chance that
the all too predictable twists wouldn't have been as easy to see coming.

However I like to style these with a bit of a
twist, fighting shy of anything
too predictable.
That's because most of the story dances around a «plot
twist» or discovery or whatever it is that is hardly exciting, and all
too predictable (Lime is alive, duh) and our main lead is a doofus, and not exactly the charming type, just a helpless goon going around from one point to another.
I believe, that out of all these films, «Jigsaw» has the most forced appearances by Tobin Bell, he shows up because the movie tries to used the most obvious, and
predictable twist this series could muster up (The movie is set between two timelines, and apparently this counts a prequel
too... see the problem)
If the past two years were a TV show, people would call it
too predictable and lazily written with plot
