I'm
not even touching upon a bunch of the other problems, such as icons that are never explained, weird economy crashes that last for a month when loading up a game and
tooltips that appear for some things but
not others.
It's too damn simple for its own good, too, and often too easy as well, at least when it doesn't try to annoy you with its terminology, missing
tooltips or desire to simply
not tell you about a whole swathe of stuff.
I're also disappointed to see no
tooltip assistance is given on any of the options, making them prohibitive to new users and those
not familiar with the soccer jargon.
If you've ever taken a look at an item
tooltip in EverQuest II and had the distinct impression that you were being prepared for a calculus exam, it might
not have been just your lack of comprehension.
The tutorial isn't bad, there's a
tooltip option to bring up a (light) help text about any button you don't understand and that has been useful.
I'm
not a fan of repetitive hand - holding tutorials, but there's far too much assumed knowledge here, and the most help you'll get is an occasional
tooltip that pop up the first time you encounter a new gameplay element.
