The top left of every home screen has four shortcut icons for the browser, e-mail, remote control app, and Sony Reader store.
A search function is embedded on
the top left of the home screen but I'm not sure if you can get rid of it.
There are small enhancements, such as the Google Now widget on
the top left of the home screen, the revamped app drawer that you can access by simply swiping up from the quick access bar, and new gesture controls that let you open the notifications tray by swiping down in the fingerprint sensor in back.

The most obvious tweak is a redesigned Google search field: Where the original Pixels had a search «pill» in the
top -
left corner, the Pixel 2s have a full - width search field at the bottom
of the
home screen.
To reset this device go to the settings
of these devices by swiping from the
top from the quick settings or swipe to the
left from the
home screen to find the settings option.
Below the
screen sits a physical
home button, which only juts out from the
top of the frame by a fraction
of a millimeter, and is flanked by a back button on the right and an overview recents button on the
left.
Other than that, there's just the capacitive menu and back buttons (located on the
left and right
of the
home button, respectively), the 3.5 mm headphone jack and IR blaster on the
top edge, and an array
of sensors above the
screen.
From there, go into the Google
Home app, tap on the hamburger menu icon in the
top left of the
screen, and tap on «More settings.»
Swipe up on the launcher and it opens the app drawer with your most commonly used apps at the
top and to the
left of home screen, automatically set up, is Google Now.
If you try to tap the
Home button to
leave the app, you'll see a «Guided Access is enabled» message at the
top of the
screen.
Starting on the
left hand side, on the
top you will find the
home button, used to bring you back to your main

The
top right - hand corner

home screen switches the circular points image into a graph, while the
top left displays a weekly progress graph and, when tapped a second time, a monthly progress report.
When you long press the
home screen there's a settings menu that includes a «Show Google app when swiping
left» option as well as options for
screen rotation and adding or subtracting app suggestions at the
top of the app drawer.
Additionally, the smartphone has a small bezel at the
top and bottom
of the
screen, apparently
leaving no room for a physical
home button.
Normally, a big phone forces you to strrrretch your thumb between a
Home button at the bottom
of the
screen, a notification tray way on the
top of the
screen, app back buttons in the upper
left corner
of the
screen, and power / volume keys high up on the sides.
