Are you really naive enough to believe that Wenger would bring anyone into this current locker room that is going to be given a strong voice... have you not been watching, listening or reading about our club for years... Lehman is a blind Wenger follower, which is the only reason he was even considered... just for a second think of all the strong personalities that have played for this club that have never been seriously considered even though they have expressed legitimate interest
in participating
in the coaching process... even worse, think of all the former greats who aren't even allowed on the same pitch as Wenger because they have offered their advice and / or criticism to the infallible one... I dare you to find a manager that has distanced himself from his former players as much as this man... it's the very reason why only one player I can think of has ever returned to play for Wenger and that was Flamini, which was hilarious considering we were desperately looking for a
top quality defensive
midfielder but Wenger could somehow find no one better than Flamini
in the whole wide
world... let's face it this club was simply trying to appease it's disgruntled fans by declaring that Wenger would no longer be given Ca rte Blanche when it came to the backroom staff so they probably asked him to give them a list of those who he would allow
in the locker room... on that list he wrote Lehman, Pires and Bergkamp, likely because the first two are the only former players who haven't publicly questioned his horrible decision - making and the last one because he won't get

Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a
top player has to possess a more well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the best of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened
in the meantime, but it's important to make note of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many of the traditionally dominant teams
in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out of position and by not acquiring
world - class striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss of Cazorla, who took a lot of pressure off Ozil
in the
midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the ball
in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed
in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it
in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments of greatness undercut by long periods of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
They're not, they have the best front 3
in the
world, but aside from that their
midfield can be matched by any other
top team and their defence is so so.
ridiculous... whatever he is
in midfield he was a complete waste of a player on the wing... lacked pace and touch and did nt go past players... if wenger does nt invest
in another
world class attacker this summer we will always be nearly theres... giroud has improved undoubtedly but against
top class defenders he is just another journeyman from ligue un... bellerin certainly our
top choice fullback now hazard did nt get a look
in... coquelin carzola ozil sanchez working together... so if we invest properly
in summer we can overhaul this lot who are no great team for sure..
my opinion is that OG has proven himself
in the last calendar year to be a
top striker, its only us Arsenal supporters who don't rate him the way the footballing
world see him, this season he has the best minute to scoring ratio
in the EPL, if he was playing for Chelsea we would all be wishing he was playing for us for double the salary and pay 60 to 70 million to buy him, almost every club has striker, defensive
midfielders, and goalkeeper problems but not us we have a full squad for the first time for a ling time but some how we don't rise to the challenge
Vidal is the
top 5
midfielders in the
world Ramsey is the 4th best
midfielder at Arsenal behind Ozil Wilshere and Carzola need i go on?

I think the reason why maybe half the fans (included me) are not convinced of Giroud as our first CF is that we as club are or used to be very depended on our CF to win as games and some how have tradition for strikers to thrive
in Arsenal (Atletico Madrid are really good at that) even though they where not
world class when bought (unlike Chelsea apart from Drogba and now Costa) With the
midfield we have now someone like Bony would compete for
top scorer.

wot he does nt realise after skimping for years and havin great success with cesc, song, deni, clichy, gibbs and all the lower end purchases is that if he were to spend 50m on 2/3
