top but put Welbeck in (Walcott didn't track back near enough for the Alsonso goal)- Iwobi has been bright from the wing let him play there - Xhaka has to go back in the holding midfield role and I would take out Coquelin

I even thought
top clubs were in for him. Some three or 2 seasons back many here were debating why he should be our main striker. As soon as you mention any other strikers name people would come out with stats and many things defending him.Even Wenger has defended him blindly in the past.People say Wenger's stubborn yeah. But don't we know that there's a reason why everything happens?Honestly speaking he's the reason why Arsene Wenger has failed to sign a
top notch striker
because he still believes in him.The funny thing is we signed Welbeck at that time who to me did nothing before to be the main man here.People keep saying Welbeck is hardworking and that he works his socks off.But the question is was that our reason for signing him.Welbeck being signed to challenge Giroud tells me a lot about Giroud's quality.Even Walcott (no offence to him) who has zero CF qualities was even chosen over him for a string
of games and all in all I think he did well but has too many defeciencies for that role. We've compromised as a club and it'll come back to bite us.

That's how title winning teams should be in the mental sense, unfortunately Wenger can't get most

Wenger said, «I told you in the press conference that for me the important

Giroud reminds me a bit
of Dimitar Berbatov, as a matter
of fact I am wholeheartedly convinced Giroud is Berbatov in disguise,
because he is the only striker I have witnessed who can go more than two months without a goal and finish amongst the
top 3 strikers in the Premier League, completely similar in style, both very classy finishers, brilliant hold up play they are also both lazy as hell and occasionally turn up in random clusters
of games which 80 percent
of the time are worthless in the hopes
of winning any silverware, but do just about enough to convince you that they are better than they are.
50 - 70 mil striker might win you crucial
games in EPL and CL... If we got that one we won't be knocked out every time from 16 - round
of the CL, we might have taken the chances that we had against Utd and Chelsea... With this type
of thinking we lost our title the season before when we were
top of the league and I genuinely believe we lost that to City
because we did not add striker as a main reason...
Liverpool was the only team that beat us home and away last season. That's 6 points right there. We were terrible in those two
games especially in the away
games.I can also say we did not make
top four
because of our loss to Liverpool away, Crystal Palace, West Brom, Watford and draws with Middlesbrough and Bournemouth thereby leaving Everton out.No matter how you turn it the value is the same. This means every
game is as important as the other.
It's easy to get caught up in our little bubble as hardcore MMA fans and think that Rory / Lima are prestigious talents

It's funny how he said we are better than Liverpool overrall forgetting that in terms
of players we were still better than them last season yet the beat us home and away.Liverpool team is not so good yet out
of all the
top four team they're the ones who play their hearts out. That's why Liverpool didn't lose a single
game to a
top four team last season though on paper they should have.As for Tottenham if you look at their team they just need a few more signings and consistency so I don't know what's the big deal about them. The painful this is they could've won the league if not for draws. It was a disgrace for any
of those two to finish over us last season
because on paper it shouldn't be so.This should tell you that it's not all about the team you have. Some it's about luck, sometimes it's about giving your best and sometimes it's just meant to be.
but the atmosphere at emirates is sad like terrible u look at anfield and it hurts me
because we're such poorly ran club from fans point view we're are diehards all splits all over stadium joke we need leaders at arsenal
top too bottom but this arsenal is not arsenal
of old were is our Tony Adams ray palour, we're is our pride how dear man Utd get Sanchez like how dear even ask pride is word here folks we have none as in overheads us fans are joke like boycott next
game stay away or go and stand outside stadium for full match stand together stand tall we will be heard we are arsenal we are there customers we are Gona make change but by money cause that's wat this club is money and Sanchez Utd proves it
Every
game we play we want to win the
game. This season will be very difficult
because of the
top clubs spending a lot
of money on transfers, it's unbelievable.
They have a shelf life
of 8/10 years at the very
top if they are lucky so who can begrudge them the opportunity to make hay whilst the sun is shining... am not saying Sanchez is not money driven but the way the guy plays i can mortgage my life he actually enjoys the
game, enjoys wining first and foremost then money comes 2nd... like the author
of the article rightly pointed out, he was in Messi's shadow at Barca and could not express himself fully, now he is at a club where he is the main man and given a free role and license to express himself and i very much doubt if he will want to go to a club like Madrid (as been rumoured in the dailies today) to relieve the bad experience he suffered at Barca
because let us face facts, he is never going to displace CR7 as the main man, so even if Madrid sells Benzema or Bale to make room for him he will be back to the same position he was at Barca, this time he will be playing 2nd fiddle to CR7 so my guess is all the Madrid talks is been fed the press by his agents to drive a hard bargain when contract extension talks resumes.....
i was very impressed with coquelin but we could all see the way newcastle was fowling him im worried it only a matter
of time before his injured so we need suffcient cover arteta is ok but if something happens to coquelin (i pray it doesn't) where his out for a couple
of games arteta can not play a bunch
of games for 90 mins all the time so im hoping arsene is looking at a DM has we speak also on theo, to be fair to him he actually did ok great movement but it brings me to think that giroud and walcott can play together in a 442 formation
because giroud can provided the hold up play for walcott to make runs and walcott can make the runs to allow space for giroud if walcott has gioroud finishing and giroud walcott pace we properly would be with man city at the
top of the league
Say what you like admin.Even Diaby upon doing nothing for several seasons was able to secure a move to Marseille which to me is a
top team. Was it not last season that before he went to Bournemouth teams like Juventus and AS Roma were interested in him?He just needs a league which is not physical for the mean time.I mean any time he gets a run
of games he begins to hit
top forn and just when things are looking up things go down again. This injury thing is a menace in our club.Look at the number
of games Gnabry has played. But I will urge him to leave Arsenal
because all he needs to do is to remain injury free. It's not rocket science. If Wilshere remains injury free for just one season he'll be great. It's just like the Van Persie case.A lot
of people were frustrated with him and cllled him man
of glass but I knew he just needed to be injury free for one season. To me he's a better player than Ramsey though Ramsey is on form.He also has the ability to surpass Cazorla and be Arsenal's number one. He's also Arsenall thrugh and through.Arsenal has to solve his injury problems
because he's shown that when he gets a run
of games he can do it.
I thought people here were debating about two or three seasons back why he should be our
top striker. When I thought the Monaco match was the icing on the cake to show how average he was it seems just like Wenger we» will never learn our lesson. Now people our okay with him being a super sub which is debatable.Giroud was a super sub in
games last season
because he wasn't played when he was supposed to.He's not your ideal super sub
because he very hardly creates but rather requires people to create for him. Most
of the time super subs are the one's who tend to create the chances and open up spaces in the opposition defence.West ham are ready to pay and hence we should demand more from them.We can then use the money from his sale on far better players.Given the same seasons, time and chances a lot
of average strikers can do better than what he did. This is
because Arsenal create a lot
of chances and it just needs someone who can finish.Goodbye!.
I could see an argument for Diaz not being a
top fighter these days, but McGregor took the fight straight to him and played his style
of striking
game, something that most people avoid
because Diaz is pretty damn good at it.
Not expert enough against
top teams who love his reading
of game so much they put a shit load
of goals passed him... It's not just that's he is slow it's also
because he is one
of the worst distributors
of a ball I have seen in
top flight football... Just watch his passing to players with no option but to boot loose ball or pass back... It is truly shocking... so yes unless you're a 4th place junkie mert should be a bench player just like for Germany in World Cup
We should pick up 3points but considering the way we are playing, injuries and thinking we should be clear at the
top of the league, i wont get my hopes up
because as
of last weeks defeat and our last few
games i do nt see us as contenders this season... its a fight for 3rd again for automatic spot i group stage
of CL.
Without sounding like Arsen Wanger bashing most injuries are
because of not having a choice
of good players on the bench for rotation (not good enough in terms
of for a
top club) so he keeps playing his best 11 if they are not injured and we all know what happens after a while what with international duties and CL other cup
games they start cracking,
Arsenal do in fact have more reason than our rivals to hope for Spurs to at least get something from the
game because a Chelsea win would beat our own EPL record
of 13 straight wins as well as keeping them well clear at the
top.
I hope I'm wrong but this could be the most damaging win when it comes to transfers... winning 1
game, after about 20 minutes
of really good play, is
of little consequence in the grand scheme
of things... only those with the most selfish
of intentions would suggest otherwise... the only reason we're even in this predicament, where were celebrating our first victory
of 2018 against a bottom half squad who is managed by possibly the only individual more antiquated than our manager, is
because of Wenger's ridiculous mishandling
of his contract last year combined with his mishandling
of the contracts
of our
top players this year; a fact that he himself admitted to... so before you get too excited about the possibilities
of our current roster don't forget what has happened over the last several years and pray to the gods
of football that real quality reinforcements like Auba are on the way, which could have happened years ago for less money and we might have been holding a trophy
of some significance, or this brief respite will be followed by the usual mediocrity and stagnation
The Foxes next
game is against the team we beat on Monday, possibly favourites for the title
because of the depth and quality their squad, and 3rd placed and 3 points off the
top — Manchester City.
West Ham beat every
top team in England, our loss wasn't a fluke they were well prepared to win against the big boys and we got caught off guard
because it was the first
game of the season unlike the other teams.
well i know the guys in england belittle the spurs the whole time (the fans outside
of england do nt really feel the hate,
because in switzerland for example is the hate on chelsea muuuuuch stronger ^ ^) you got ta be real and accept that spurs are a
top 6 team, and drawing against them isn't such the worst result and the «pundits» and a lot
of guys here always bash arsenal that they don't have the title mentality to get a point from a win and a win from a draw, so i think in the years before, we would have well lost the
game, so i am happy with the point, and the fight
of the guys
He is not a quality striker
because he makes a lot
of mistakes in his
game. The fact that he scores 20 goals does not mean he is a quality back up striker. It is one thing to be a goal scorer and another thing to be a good or average player.Goal scoring is a very important aspect
of a player but not the only aspect.Trust me you can score 20 goals in all competitions and still be average. If Chamakh, Gervinho and all the so called flops scored this same goals they would still have been considered not good enough for Arsenal. His
game is just not good enough and I for one believe even if no one believes that we can get a backup striker who is better than him and also a
top centre forward. Its all about mentality and willingness.Forget his goals and look at his
game or else you'll force me to bring up strikers in the world who have scored his same goals and are even considered terrible.
Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass
of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a
top player has to possess a more well - rounded
game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends
of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their
game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the best
of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note
of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many
of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out
of position and by not acquiring world - class striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss
of Cazorla, who took a lot
of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk
of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man
because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type
of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted
because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments
of greatness undercut by long periods
of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
I know exactly what you meant, the problem is that when we play our way we NEVER DO IT RIGHT against the
top sides which is why
game after
game we getting smashed Away from home
because of Wenger's naïve tactics!
