Salt one
side of the tomato
slices and spread them on a single layer on

Starting on 1
side, lay a
slice of bacon, crosswise, on
top of the pork, laying another
slice to slightly overlap the first.

Working in batches if needed, coat both
sides of each bread
slice with banana batter, by either placing gently on
top of batter to coat, or brushing with a basting brush.
Sprinkle each sandwich with salt and pepper and place second
slice of bread on
top (butter -
side up) and press down.
Take the other two
slices of bread and put on
top of the sandwiches, buttered
side up.
Serving Suggestions: Serve as a
side salad, or
top with a few
slices of chicken or steak and make it a main dish.
Like another reviewer here commented (Petra) there was nothing quick about this 22 minute chicken masala... By the time I was finished washing,
slicing, cutting and cooking everything I was in about 3 hours... I doubled this recipe... It came out very good looking just like the photo at the
top... Some people here commented that the recipe was bland so I added a 3/4 teaspoon
of both cumin and coriander powder to the sauce... Nothing bland about this... It was on the spicy
side... Not marinading the chicken in yogurt didn't make much
of a difference... I used chicken tenders... When are they ever tough or chewy anyway...
Top with the remaining
slices of bread, spread
sides down, and press downward slightly before
slicing each sandwich in half.
Place on
slice of baby Swiss on
top then sprinkle with some shallots and mushrooms,
top with a burger, more shallots and mushrooms, another
slice of cheese, and finally a
slice of bread cheese
side up.
Drizzle 1/2 teaspoon
of brown rice vinegar over shredded cabbage and cover with
top slice, mustard -
side down.
To serve, place two mushrooms on a plate, stem -
