I love the look
of the crust
braid on
top and along the
sides, I love having pie filling rather than icing between the cake layers because personally I'd rather eat all cake and no icing so I'm always trying to think
of different things to fill a cake with, and I love how many cake / pie combo ideas this cake is giving me!
To form the
braid: Starting at the edge
of the filling, make parallel horizontal cuts in the dough at 1» intervals down both
sides, leaving a 1» border at the
top and bottom.
Pick up a 2 inch section
of hair from near your left temple, split it into 3 strands, and Dutch
braid it by flipping the
side strands under the middle strand and adding more hair from the
top of your head with each subsequent stitch.
Repeat the previous step with the hair on
top and on the right
side of your head so that you end up with half your hair in 3
braids.
It's actually two
braids (one on either
side of the face) that are layered on
top of each other and pinned so it looks like all one continuous plait.
How she did it: «I did this look by starting a fishtail
braid at the
top of one
side of the head, and adding hair to it as I
braided on a diagonal to the other
side of the head.

Instead
of placing your
braid on the
side of your head, get like Isla Fisher and place the plait on the
top of your head, right next to your
side part.
Pick up the
braid from the right
side of the head and wrap it over the
top of the bun and around to the left
side.
Step 10 / Now repeat those same steps and create a second lace
braid on the right
side of the head doing three stitches
of a regular french
braid and then only adding in hair from the
top of the head to create another lace
braid.
And the hair style is really easy, all you do is
braid two
side pigtails, and then pin them on
top of your head!
From there, pile on the bracelets, grab a bright pair
of loafers, and
top it all off with a cool
side braid (or a messy bun if you're not sporting long hair) Perfect daytime outfit!
Some
of my favorite ways are the
top bun, the mini French
braid, or a
side braid.
Her hair is a gorgeous ombre blend
of dark to light brown from
top to bottom, showed off to perfection by the double
braided milkmaid style she's worked into her locks and secured at either
side of the head for this glorious finish.
