Over the past few weeks I've been experimenting with all sorts of ways to use fresh kefir, you can flavor it with vanilla or almond extract, add it to your smoothies, use it as a base for your stove
top oatmeal or as a creamy
top on your granola.
I
top this
oatmeal with a mix of nuts, seeds, and dried fruits, and pour a little milk
over it while it is still hot.
Scatter the butter
over the
top of flour and pulse until crumbly like uncooked
oatmeal.
We drizzle pure maple syrup
over the
top before we eat so I tend to reduce the sweetness of the actual baked
oatmeal cup.

In the meantime, drizzle 2 tablespoons of melted butter
over the
top of the blueberry
oatmeal bake.
When my baked
oatmeal came out of the oven I drizzled two tablespoons of melted butter
over the
top.

I eat my baked
oatmeal plain but a lot of people like it with some warm milk poured
over the
top, which makes it extra moist.
But, to salvage these brownies, maybe
top with a chocolate or vanilla frosting (I have a few healthy frosting recipes), 100 % fruit spread or crumble
over a sweet dessert - like
oatmeal or healthy ice cream
To
top it all off I like to sprinkle this
oatmeal with hemp seeds, which is a good source of plant protein, as well as some fresh or frozen berries, which makes a nice colour clash with the yellow oats, before pouring
over some more (plant) milk.
Spoon the remaining
oatmeal mixture
over top of the berries.
Serve cold with your favorite non-dairy milk, as a
topping for
oatmeal, or sprinkled
over fresh fruit.
Baked
oatmeal is good warm or cold and tastes great with cold milk poured
over top.
Remove the skillet from the oven and arrange the banana slices
over the
top of the
oatmeal.
I love
oatmeal and blueberries and the pudding sounds like it puts these
over the
top good!

over the
top.
Then cook it down as a compote or fruit
topping for waffles, pancakes,
oatmeal, hot cereal or
over ice cream!
If you know me, you know how much I love
oatmeal, and this recipe just takes it
over the
top!
Simple Berry Compote contains only 3 ingredients and is perfect for
topping over ice cream, yogurt or even
oatmeal.
After being soaked, they can be used to make porridge, yogurt, or as a
topping over salad,
oatmeal or any baked food like cookies and bars.
