Arsenal are currently in 5th place in the Premier League after unbelievably losing to Man United at home this weekend, and it has been great to see the teams in Champions League having
tough midweek games today and tomorrow.

game with mixed form, but our players could benefit from being much the fresher with us having completely rotated our XI for the Europa League on Thursday, while City had a
tough match away to Napoli in
midweek.
Now we are entering December, and the Arsenal starting XI have played 5 intense
midweek games less than every single other rival in the Top Six, as all of them have had
tough Champions League matches to contend with.
After the
midweek capitulation, this
game against Swansea has become that much
tougher.
They get another
tough game though as Everton come to visit Stamford Bridge, but the Toffees had extra
midweek work which may work against them.
There were plenty of reasons for it to be a tricky assignment for Arsenal because of the decent start Burnley have made to the campaign, and it is always
tough to go away from home after a
midweek game in the Champions League.
Chelsea have benefited from not having European football but January was not a
tough month for Arsenal with very few
midweek games, so why should they not be 100 per cent at it?
Spurs had a
tough game in
midweek and it might catch up with them for the early Saturday kick - off.
