This is why I
trade the forex market with only a few core
candlestick forex
price action trading strategies that I feel do an excellent job at providing me with a profitable forex
trading strategy that doesn't require that I memorize a hundred different
candlestick patterns.
In this addition to my
price action course, my goal is to show you how to correctly identify and start
trading the hanging man
candlestick pattern (in the right situations).

In either case, these
candlestick signals would have been a great place to take profits on a bullish
trade that you might have been in, which is how most successful
candlestick traders use this particular
price action signal.
I've also found
price action trading like supply and demand zones, Japanese
candlestick formations, multiple
candlestick patterns, etc... to be very useful and accurate in my own
trading.
However,
price action trading is increasingly used as an umbrella term that includes analyzing chart patterns, bar patterns, and
candlestick patterns.
Combining
price action trading with a
trading system that works well with
candlestick trading signals, like the Infinite Prosperity system, is a great way to qualify these
candlesticks trades.
An «inside bar»
price setup is a 2 - bar
price action trading strategy in which the second
candlestick forms within the high to low of the previous bar.
The summation of chart patterns, bar /
candlestick patterns, and other market
price tendencies then led to
price action trading as a distinct topic.
Some
price action traders will
trade shooting star
candlesticks that don't occur at the absolute top of an uptrend, but in my experience, these signals aren't strong enough to be consistently profitable.
Note: Never
trade a
candlestick formation that looks like a shooting star from consolidating
price action or a tight ranging market.
As with most of the
price action patterns that I
trade, I target a 2:1 reward to risk ratio when
trading the shooting star
candlestick pattern.
It was the first
candlestick signal that I relied on, and one that I still use today, although I
trade it much differently than most other
price action traders.
A shooting star
candlestick pattern is a strong reversal signal, and unlike most other
price action signals, this one does not need another candle for confirmation, according to the standard
trading technique.
I've tried a few
price action courses before, including Nial Fuller's
price action system, but I highly recommend Steve Nison and his various
candlestick trading courses.
Another example of how shadows play a determining role in
price action trading is «long - tailed»
candlestick formations.
In this video we are looking at a GBPJPY daily
candlestick chart and a
price action reversal setup off the 147.00 level that alerted us to the
trading opportunity in this market.
I got down to my last # 50 and I FORCED myself to learn how to
trade, now the future has potential and I am at the markets every day ready to pull the trigger, now my gains are much higher than my losses and I am back to plain old japanese
candlesticks, they relay the
price action much better than heiken ashi.
Steve Nison recommends
trading candlestick patterns using western technical indicators, although many
price action traders do well with pure naked charts.
