in August, I teamed up with Pier 1 to create a beautiful
fall tablescape
in traditional fall colors.
I coordinated the
traditional fall colors with pops of non
traditional fall tones
in my family room and wanted the same
in my dining room.
I love how each of these looks feels undeniably autumn
in theme without depending on
traditional fall colors.
So I totally didn't do this fun room justice because I am way too serious to do silly poses where it looks like you are
falling down into a hole... the room was specifically designed for that but instead I stuck with the

in the midwest where there are lots of
traditional fall colors which I love outside but inside I still love the soft neutrals.
My personal style tends to lean a little more transitional modern with clean lines and an eclectic feel so doing something different
in my decor this season has made my home feel fresh for
fall but more importantly it blends and flows better with the rest of my home, vs. the
traditional fall colors that would have fought with my existing decor.
Instead of using
traditional thanksgiving objects like pumpkins and gourds
in the tablescape, I chose to include foods like grapes, nuts, and bread, with rich
fall colors.
And they come
in the
fall color palette and feature
traditional patterns.
Traditional blue jeans are great, but
colored denim is a super easy way to give your wardrobe dynamic edge, especially
in the
fall / winter months.
I love their soft muted
colors in different hues, which work perfectly with my non

Fall Home Tour that is happening this week, but as you can tell, I opted to go with muted blues and greens instead of
