We are steadfast in our commitment to our Prop. 39 lawsuit and remain hopeful about the possibility that the California Supreme Court will hear the case, confirming once and for all that charter schools should be provided facilities that are truly «reasonably equivalent» to those that are provided to
traditional public schools students consistent with California laws.
Factors with the highest weight included the share of
public schools that are charter
schools, the share of
public -
school students in charter
schools, the growth rate of charters, the closure rate of charters (small and
consistent was considered the best) and academic quality in both reading and math as measured in the equivalent of «additional days of learning» when compared with
traditional public schools.
