The overall design of the Pro is extremely similar to the original Gear Fit 2, with the biggest visual change being a more
traditional watch clasp in favor of the Fit 2's snap band.
But despite the more secure Flex 2 classic - band clasp, I'd still like to see a version with
a traditional watch clasp, which would likely be more secure.
Samsung's Gear Fit 2 Pro is available in two colors — black and red — and this year's model ditches 2016's Gear Fit 2's snap band for a more secure and
traditional watch clasp.
I'd prefer
the traditional watch clasp that's on the Charge HR and the Fitbit Blaze.
Both straps are comfortable to wear and are fastened with
a traditional watch clasp, ensuring the Activité feels secure at all times.
Stainless steel can also be found in
the traditional watch clasp with an identical silver finish.
Second, the Charge HR has
a traditional watch clasp, which the Charge lacks, and this made the HR much easier to put on my wrist.
Not exact matches
Probably the best decision Fitbit made was to give the Charge 2 a
traditional watch band
clasp.
Unlike a
traditional watch and even some smartwatches like the Moto 360 which feature lugs, Versa uses Fitbit's own
clasp system, limiting band choices to just what the company plans to offer over the course of the device's product cycle.
The folding metal
clasp is a nice touch: it looks nice, makes the
watch easy to take on and off, and doesn't damage the strap the same way that
traditional loop
clasps do.
