Nevertheless, a
player of his standing on and off the pitch would be a huge coup
for Chelsea if such a move were to materialise, although with no mention of a
transfer fee or whether or not his wage demands could be met by the Blues, it seems
like it's still a long way off from becoming a reality.
And its not
like Wenger bought such poor
players by choice, thats what his money could afford him, think about it... not long ago, a mere 16 million euros that was used in the acquisition of carzola was our record
transfer fee when other teams bought
players for fees in excess of 30 mil every season!
Maybe you are right but of the rumoured 150M we still have payment commitments from previous
transfers that have not been completed, then wages which will be a big issue since a 40 - 60M
player will probably be on 180 - 200k, also we will most likely be getting a reject
like James Rodriguez or Turan since we are out of the champions league and if they are on the same level as ozil then we might as well not bother with them, then add onto the fact it may not be easy to get rid of our unwanted
players like Walcott
for example who will pay his 140k ontop of a 20M
transfer fee?
The point is that thanks to this we are now in a better position, instead of being left
for dead completely by Man City and Chelsea and their unlimited resources we will now be able to buy

transfer fees like Sanchez or Ozil every season or two, we achieved this while staying in the Champions League year after year.
# 15 million may seem
like a lot
for a
player of Szczesny's calibre and especially
for a goalkeeper, however let's not forget some of the crazy prices that are flying around the
transfer market nowadays and so demanding such a
fee isn't entirely unrealistic from Arsenal.

like a bargain, as every Arsenal fan knows all too well, and getting a quality
player without having to pay a single penny, or Eurp as the case may be, in

for nothing.

transfer fees paid by Man City

To be fair to Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board, a
transfer fee of # 10 million does not sound
like too much to ask

player with the pace and technical ability that Kieran Gibbs has and the experience that being an England international with nearly 150 Premier League games and close to 50 in the Champions League brings with it.
However, the report in The Sun suggesting that it was the Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette that Wenger and Gazidis were in France
for seems a lot more believable, with the

This is a decent article, yet the negatives from fans are still there, I would love to see arsenal
like I did at the end of the 90's and at the beggining of the 2nd millennium but it doesn't mean in order to do so I would buy all the best
players in world, I would get a rich owner to put his filthy money in, change the manager every 2 years to do so, there's so much wrong in football nowadays that yes it's still a sport but there's more focus on the filthy amounts of money being spent on clubs and
players that I think attracts more attention than the game itself, now that is wrong and it's very wrong, even our owner though not
like the arabs or Russians, yet the yank is clueless about the tradition of our game, it's just sad, so the fact that Wenger has remained
for this long through all these changes that have occurred whilst the money game has elvolved, it makes me happy that arsenal do not spend stupid amounts of money on
players, we don't try and buy the league, hell we even tight with wages and
transfer fees, I'm glad it's
like that, though our season ticket is a rip off I still don't mind it because at least we are not
like the other supreme teams, there's a bit of tradition left at our club, yet you go to man shitty or Chelski, there is no tradition, it's all about buying ur way all the way to the top, on the other hand spuds don't know what to make of them besides how the heck have they finished above us?
They have so much money to spend that it doesn't matter if a

like a massive overpay.
There will be the guy that hates the board and will repeatedly accuses them of penny - pinching / misleading / talking to media too much / not giving supporters enough information; another who is adamant that we are paying well over the odds

like or want us to do business with certain other clubs.

player and seemingly make these options work.
Liverpool decided to bring in Virgil van Dijk
for a world record
transfer fee —
for a defender — of # 75 million — in order to finally replace
