Some competing crossovers have a much firmer ride,
transmitting every road imperfection into the cabin with a jolt and a bang.
The steering is quick, communicative and fabulous, and while the suspension is still stiff enough to
transmit every road imperfection, the car doesn't skate over bumps.
Even with the vehicle set in Advanced Efficiency or Natural mode, the suspension will
transmit every road imperfection to your backside.
Not exact matches
After driving 2013 and 2014 models, I could tell the 2014
transmits more
road imperfections through the chassis and into seats.
While the new suspension does a reasonable job of soaking up big bumps, the GLA still has a habit of finding
road imperfections and
transmitting the resulting patter through to the cabin.
Bumps, potholes and other
road imperfections are
transmitted loudly to the cabin, but at this price point, it's not that far out of the norm.
This sporting edge does mean the ride quality is slightly rough with a fair number of
road imperfections being
transmitted inside.
Then again, the same can not be said for the STI, as every
road imperfection — big or small —
transmits directly into the cabin.

They are idiotic: hard to control, the small wheels
transmit shock from any
road imperfection, gearing is inappropriate for moving safely in traffic, and the taller you are, the closer your hands get to you as you move the seat up.
