The winds are strong for this time of year, reminding the locals of hurricane Ivan, which devastated the capital city of George Town in 2004, lifting whole apartment blocks and
transporting buildings across streets.
Accordingly, at no small cost in money and effort, it was towed
across the Atlantic Ocean on a specially constructed barge, unloaded, and
transported through the
streets of New York City on a specially
built, very wide - tired truck, to its present site in Central Park near the Metropolitan Art Museum.
