travelling and speaking all over North America, stewarding the message of Jesus Feminist throughout her first year of life, creating the Jesus Feminist collection with Imagine Goods, a trip to Haiti, new opportunities as a writer, three tinies at home with their own lives and drama and growth and change, remodelling parts of our home, marriage, church, friends, life, work, laundry (oh, can we talk laundry?!)
Still, I'll be cutting back on
travel big time this summer, fall, and in 2015,
which should get me back to regular
blogging and hopefully give me the chance to finish this next book.

The run up to this holiday has been crazy & hence the radio silence from the
blogging sphere; however I'm back with a very exciting & fun post whereby I'm joining the stylish Rhea@Rheaetcetera to show how we styled the same necklace

I've been
blogging for over 8 years, and in 2014 launched Take Me to the World,
which combines my passion for
travel and exploring with my love for the performing arts.
When I started my blog (
which initially was just to keep in touch with family and friends and record my
travels), I spent an inordinate amount of time setting it up, making it pretty, and learning the ropes and language of
blogging.
I
travel with my stomach most of the time and not with my eyes,
which is becoming a real problem now that I decided to do this
travel blogging thing.
This post actually started as a rant on my
travel Instagram, in
which I stated that I was going to use it solely to promote other underrepresented bloggers until I figured out whether or not I could continue
blogging in good faith.
I started thinking about it when I read this article
which waxes cynical about the
travel blogging industry.

When I haven't been
travelling or

I hv started my
travel blogging website last month and m looking to buy a
travel camera but not able to decide
which one to buy.
Despite all that, and since the
travel blogging community grew enormously, I somehow ended up following a relatively small number of bloggers,
which I actually enjoy reading and actively follow on social media.
Now we've just reached our first year of
travel blogging and we've made it into the second stage
which is exciting but frustrating.

which I can only continue by earning a living at it.

which rewards the blogger for his or her effort — becomes more difficult to secure.

When I first started I quickly realised that I had a lot to learn about
travel blogging, and in particular to find my voice and my best «fit» as a
travel blogger — there are so many different ways that
travel bloggers work that it can be challenging to focus on the options
which will suit you best.

I have developed my

blogging skills, I became more self - confident and I made some biggest changes in my personal life

I joined the challenge because I want to kickstart my
travel blogging mojo again,
which has been sidelined by other concerns.
She and husband Drew had worked tirelessly to pay off their debt, build a
travel blogging brand
which would provide an income while they were on the road, and were selling all of their possessions to kick the American dream to the curb and go after their own — they dreamed of
traveling the world.
I'll never forget attending «generic»

which I found myself turned down because I didn't fit into their marketing plans.
I'm incredibly fortunate to now be able to make a living off of
blogging and
travel consulting — neither of

blogging.
I'd argue that if your blog can only command around $ 10 a month —
which, let's face it, is never likely to be enough to make a full - time career from
travel blogging — then really more time needs to be invested in the site before trying to monetise.

which is hosted every year in a different location.
Before long I was running a
blogging support group on facebook,
which has proven to be a great forum for intermediate and beginner
travel bloggers to share ideas, network, learn from each other and grow.
