'm really looking forward to: staring at the blossoming chestnut
trees outside of my mom's
kitchen window, visiting the food market across the street from there every day, fresh sorrel soup, mom's melt -
in - your - mouth zucchini fritters, and a good morel mushroom season, if I
'm lucky.
And several times
in the day, I
'm drawn to this window by the
kitchen, to sit and watch the birds, squirrels and
trees in the backyard.
Well, we might
be missing an island and a palm
tree or two, but we can still re-create the tropics
in our own
kitchen starting with this gorgeous smoothie.
I used the garland we made on the mini
tree in our
kitchen and every time we brushed it as we baked the scent
was released.
It
's different for everyone — maybe it
's the smell of cookies that brings you right back to your grandma
's kitchen or the scent of evergreen

All I added
was some framed art with palm
trees and it seemed as if I
was on vacation
in my own
kitchen.
There
is no
tree in our
kitchen, but it always gets a makeover.Our
kitchen is white with yellow walls with blue and white accessories, but at Christmas it pops with RED.
