There's only two old fashioned apple
trees at my mom's house, but boy do they put on the fruit!
I love decorating
the tree at my moms house for one main reason.
My sister - in - law got me the sweetest little mini orchids that inspired these eggs, while trimmings from my boxwood shrubs outside and some pussy willow branches from
a tree at my mom's worked to create the rest.

Besides the simultaneous happiness and heartache that comes with finally getting to see your people after a few years away, here are some other things I'm really looking forward to: staring
at the blossoming chestnut
trees outside of my
mom's kitchen window, visiting the food market across the street from there every day, fresh sorrel soup,
mom's melt - in - your - mouth zucchini fritters, and a good morel mushroom season, if I'm lucky.

(This is the point
at which the kids roll their eyes and say, «I know,
Mom...» and ultimately go climb that
tree and forget that they were ever «bored» to begin with.)

Mom and Christmas
Tree Lane.
A Bad
Moms Christmas is most enjoyable when it relies on Hahn's improvisational gifts and Baranski's bone - dry wit or simply sticks to mindlessly inane scenarios like the women getting drunk
at the mall and stealing the Christmas
tree from Lady Foot Locker.

I'm a stay
at home
mom, wife, and Dollar
Tree Lover.
I have a thing for glassware, and I have three full sets of dishes (Spode Christmas
tree serve for 16, Vintage Sheffield serve for 22, and my everyday Longaberger heritage red serve for 16)
at my house and then I have the Moss Rose serve for 32 because both of my grandmother's had it - I keep this in my
mom's china cabinet.
A favorite memory for me is setting up my
mom's ceramic church and Christmas
tree each year, singing Christmas songs
at the top of our lungs!!
last year I was over
at my
mom's place... my daughter and she had decorated their Christmas
tree earlier in the day.
Our Angel
at the top of our
tree was a gift from my
Mom on our first married Christmas and it is my favorite thing to put up!
This Christmas season I have joined up with some other wonderful bloggers to share our Christmas
Trees in the first annual Christmas
tree decor blog hop hosted by Michelle
at Our Crafty
Mom!
