I thought perfectly ripe
bananas slung through my food processor would make a wonderful «pudding,» or maybe
bananas blended with a little tofu... (I still need to
try both of these ideas out, actually).

blend smoothies and soups all the time... but a new Ascent makes me want to branch out and
try other things... like the amazing
banana bread recipe!
The first thing I
tried was the
Blended Bliss shake mix, containing whey protein, organic cane juice, organic strawberries, organic
bananas, and organic vanilla.
If not, I would add some fresh fruit; maybe
try blending two very ripe
bananas blended with the milk.
So first we're going to start with ice cubes because I've found that ice is the only ingredient capable of cutting the overly dense texture that results when you
try to
blend frozen
bananas into a creamy treat.
Try one of my go - to smoothies made with brazil nut milk (so easy, rinse and soak the nuts overnight then toss them in a blender with 3:1 water to nut ratio and
blend - you can strain out the nut meal or keep it in for some fiber content), spirulina,
banana, strawberry and flax oil.
(If your blender is lower - powered, you can
try blending your greens and liquids first, then adding the
banana and protein powder after that for a smoother smoothie!)
If the little chia balls don't delight you,
blend before refrigerating (and
try half a
banana for smoother pudding).
If you must eat before bed
try a small snack that
blends carbohydrates and protein together, such as cereal with a
banana, cheese and crackers, or wheat toast with natural peanut butter.
I always
try to add some sort of greens to my smoothies, but you can also keep it even more simple and just
blend banana and blueberries.
You might need to
blend a little longer or stop and scrape the sides every now and then if you
try it with the
bananas.
I haven't
tried this yet, but I do know that frozen
bananas (when
blended) are very creamy, and that's what the avocado is used for.
This recipe for gluten free
banana bread is a good one to
try with this
blend.
Try adding 1/2 cup chopped and frozen courgette in a
blend with some spinach, pineapple,
banana, and coconut milk for a green piña colada vibe.
