We have
tried covered litter boxes.
If this doesn't work you could
try covering the litter box with saran wrap and then pouring the urine into the cup before your cat starts to push it into the litter.
If your cats get along fine,
try covered litter boxes, as it dramatically decreases the «dirtiness» of having a litter box around in your house.

The humongous pile of dung is so rancid that if a videotape of it were tossed in a
litter box, a real tomcat might
try to
cover it up.
I have
tried confinement, cleaning and
covering the areas, and putting out more
litter boxes (which I clean daily and completely replace the
litter once a week).
What I commonly find when I do in - home consultations is that cat parents take the privacy issue too far and
try to hide the
litter box in the most remote locations or they purchase
covered boxes.
Sometimes, the cat doesn't even mean to do its business outside the
litter box but as the
litter area is
covered with clumps, the cat will
try to stand up on the clean
litter so eventually its ass will be pointing out the
litter box, with the well known «accidents».
Also, if the
litter box is typically
covered then
try one that is uncovered.
If your
litter box isn't
covered,
try one with a
cover on it.
I
tried other
covered litter boxes, but the tops popped off too easily.
Try to avoid
covered litter boxes, as they can be awkward for arthritic kitties to use without bumping their heads.
Try keeping it in a room that the cat can reach, but not the dog - or
covering the
litter box so that the cat can get in but the dog can't.
If your
litter box has a
cover,
try removing the
cover.
we have
tried everything, we have plenty of
boxes, switched
litters and
boxes, but our youngest cat Seamus, does not
cover his poop.
I don't usually recommend
covered litter boxes, but in your case, it may be worth a
try.
Hooded
litter boxes tend to accumulate smell which is not ideal for your kitten, however if you are willing to deep clean the
litter box without using harsh chemicals, you can give a
covered litter box a
try.
