Hi I have been
trying a lot of your recipes and really enjoying them, I have been reading a lot though about you are meant to soak and then
dry out
seeds etc before using them, just wondered if you do this or if you think it is necessary?
And then I
tried a raw version inspired by your recipe (I soaked the buckwheat groats together with
dried blueberries, whizzed it in a food processor the next morning and topped it with a drizzle of peanut butter, maple syrup, hemp
seeds and a sprinkle of sea salt) and it was divine!
Have now made the bread two more times and
tried different «flavours» i thought i would share 1)
dried onions and dill
seed (not dill weed but the actual
seeds — a bit tricky to find) was delicious 2) cumin
seeds and
dried onion and shallots both are really tasty and if you like «ny deli» style breads, these may remind you a bit of those.
I love this protein powder, I have
tried many vegan protein powders and they either taste awful, they don't mix well (it is important to mix this powder with your liquids BEFORE you add the
dry stuff or it will get clumpy) or have sunflower lectin, soy or gluten after I found out that I am allergic to dairy, soy, gluten, sunflower
seeds, green beans, yeast and basically everything good and this is by far and wide the best.
We encourage creativity with your choice of toppings:
try mascarpone cheese and berries, flax and chia
seeds, a poached egg and salsa,
dried fruits and nuts, or anything else your imagination can think of!
Subs: for cranberries I used tart
dried cherries for pitachio's I used walnuts for seasme

On my recent wellness retreat I made «meatballs» that used mushrooms, sunflower
seeds and sun -
dried tomatoes and they tasted incredible - I'll
try and post the recipe soon but I need good photos!
I would say not to add any water in the last step, and if it's still too sticky to
try adding a bit more cocoa, nuts /
seeds, or even a bit of flour (any

The flax
seed oil and
dried fruit would be great for postpartum moms (the
dried fruit has a lot of great fiber), but this recipe reminds me of the stuff my mom used to
try to pass off to us when I was a kid.
Even if you are on a tight budget, you could likely afford to
try one new ingredient per week, although I do recommend avoiding raw food specialty items and superfoods and sticking more to fresh produce, nuts,
seeds, grains and
dried herbs and spices to experiment with if this is the case.
