For the past couple of weeks I have
tried making butter with only limited success.
Not exact matches
If you've never
tried it, you might be surprised how easy it is to
make your own guacamole, hummus, or even peanut
butter.
I wanted to
try it for a long time, but I only had a small foodprocessor and I didn't think it would be strong enough to
make nut
butters.
This is the first time I
tried making a nut
butter.
You can
try making almond
butter yourself — it's so simple and so delicious.
Just
made an almond
butter to go in you banana and almond smoothie... Can't believe how yummy it is and how easy it is - wish I'd
tried this ages ago - so much better than shop bought!!
I'm
trying to
make but
butters in my kenwood mixer and after the initial breakdown the
butter just ends up underneath the knife so the consistency remains grainy (as described by others below) no matter how long I blend it for.
I'm really sorry but I haven't
tried the other versions of the Magimix but I imagine that they would be able to
make the nut
butters.
Chances are that if you
made these then you were
trying to create something that wasn't a regular
butter and sugar toxic treat or of zero nutritional value.
I've never
tried making nut
butter in my Vitamix before but I find it works perfectly in the food processor!
Am going to
try to
make these but I don't have almond flour — can I skip this totally or replace it with nut
butter?
And I definately have to
try this
butter, so far I've always only
made almond
butter (with just a little bit of vanilla).
We have
tried making our own nut
butter a few times in the past years, but it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that we really got the hang of it.
My food processor is only 500 W but i
made deliciously smooth cashew
butter last week — so even if your food processor isn't the strongest you should still be able to do it, just keep it in a little longer Can't wait to
try it with the vanilla powder!!
I've yet to find one that comes close to «normal» bread but some of the almond or seeded recipes I've
tried make a very acceptable base to put mashed avocado or nut
butter on.

As I often
try to give my children energy balls too, I use Wowbutter (nut - free,
made from roasted soya but tastes exactly like peanut
butter) and sunflower seeds in place of peanuts.
I might
try this but right now I am hoarding my cacao
butter for
making chocolate!

tried making it while living in Kenya (good luck finding nut
butters there) but did not have much success (the equipment is also not that great).

make them likely to lose their shape so will

I'm always amazed at how easy nut
butters are to
make... although I have yet to
try it myself!
I've
tried making homemade nut
butter a few times... it's so time consuming, I think because I just add the nuts without anything to help it come out smoothly (like oil or sweetener).
I love
making my own nut
butter and can't wait to

I've
tried making gnocchi before with ricotta and it was delicious so I can imagine how yummy these are, too, especially with the brown
butter.
Using a spatula or bread scraper, gently fold the dry mixture into the liquid,
trying to moisten everything without
making the
butter any smaller.
Btw — have you
tried making almond
butter in your ninja too?
I may
try making it with
butter or shortening next time since good coconut oil isn't always within my budget.
The peanut
butter adds a nice flavor, though I am curious to
try tahini to
make it really seasme - y!
