Try not to over use plastic
carriers or
other hard - surface devices because carrying
babies in contact with your body will contribute to the healthy development.
Unlike
other carriers, this is much easier than
trying to attach another buckle on my back while
trying to hold the
baby to my chest.
Baby seems to prefer it to
other wraps /
carriers we
tried as it gives room for supported head movement even for newborns.
Other carriers I've
tried in this price range were either not sturdy and allowed the
baby to sag too far; or, they felt secure but were bulky.
Love this car seat and how light it is compared to
others, what I don't like is that the canopy never stays open as pictured on the website, it always closes and doesn't do its job of blocking out the sun, it is also very difficult to remove any stains from the fabric of the headrest, lastly the handles on both sides of the
carrier are very frustrating when you're
trying to put your
baby in the car seat because you need both hands to move the handle and often your hands are holding your
baby.
My son, now 7 1/2 months old is so comfortable in it and so am I. I have had neck problems my whole adult life and the
other baby carriers, sling included (I
tried 4 different
baby carriers) all seemed to hurt after wearing them for a few minutes.
Some of the
other carriers I have
tried felt so hot and even made me and
baby perspirate at times.
The Maya Wrap is unlike any
other sling or
baby carrier I've
tried.
hmm, they do meets I hear where you can meet up with
other people who favour
baby carriers over buggies so people can
try out loads of different
carriers and see what works best.
I would wear one
baby in the soft structured
carrier, hold the
other in my left arm, and
try to complete all my errands with one hand.
