In the past, I've attempted to cut corners (be forewarned)- the time I
tried to stir in a blend of white chocolate chunks, semi-sweet chunks, and crushed
peppermint sticks in place of the actual bark, didn't work out very well.
Go ahead and occasionally enjoy those butter - packed mashed potatoes and sugar coated
peppermint bark, but
try preceding it with something healthy, like carrot
sticks or clementine wedges.
The method is fairly obvious: fill, place the
sticks (or straws), garnish (
try mint leaves, citrus zest or slices, low carb dark chocolate chips, crumbled
peppermint, berries) and freeze.
I've never made gifts in a jar, but this
peppermint stick cocoa may be the 1st one I
try.
