A spontaneous shortcut menu also appears if you use a spell, allowing quick use through the triangle button, as well as
the triggering of special attack modes.

trigger in combination with face buttons pulls off various power and
special attacks, including the Tornado Kick (Cyclone Spin Kick in other versions) and a couple
of dragon - shaped projectile pitches.

As for in - battle controls, you're relegated to using assigned skill artes with the circle button (and d - pad modifiers), light
attacks with the mashing
of «X» and
special attacks (once available) with the left
trigger and left to activate the skill and a connected
attack with circle (holding the button) to execute.
Feed cake to the princess by matching
special tiles to unleash her devastating slam
attack,
trigger massive combos, and
of course, save the kingdom.
On the face
of it, Street Fighter 5's 2D fighting is ever so slightly easier to get to grips with than previous games in the series, with more forgiving timing on the linking together
of attacks to form combos, and easier to
trigger special attacks.
The standard block is in there as well but for the most part combat is a button mashing affair with the only real tactics being the use
of your Justice
attacks which
trigger special attacks, sadly the majority
of these aren't that impressive.
Tapping the right shoulder button during certain
special moves

of all levels understand the game's base juggling system, Injustice throws in the universal feature
of ground bouncing overheads and forced wall bounce
attacks for extending juggles; the latter
of which opens up another layer to damage dealing: Stage Transitions.
Upon gaining enough» ˜energy» players can
trigger their
specials to do a devastating
attack, Titans for example can shockwave groups
of enemies, exploding them or put up an impenetrable shield.

The fact enemies can also perform session
attacks and gang up on you, and many can
attack twice in a turn calls for careful management
of your healers and attackers as well as making sure you
trigger enough
specials to survive the tougher boss fights.
The temptation to mash A and B is strong, given how effective it can be, but eventually you'll have to start using the right
trigger (with one
of the face buttons) to pull off the
special attacks.
John, the game starts out with Very Easy, Easy and Normal unlocked, and if you play on either
of the first two you get given an item that automatically
triggers special moves so you can mash buttons instead
of learning to use rising, charge and cyclone
attacks yourself, just mash A, and draw the shape
of the weapon you feel works best on the enemy every so often.
The battles are still simple, but players have a series
of abilities they can pull off mid-battle (such as healing themselves, or
triggering special attacks) that give the game some much needed variety.
Gamers can collect bonus items, like health refills or jars
of mana (for
triggering special attacks), to help them survive difficult encounters.
V - Skills are small boosts activated with a press
of both the medium punch and kick buttons, while V -
Triggers give you bigger boosts and can act as lead - ins to huge
special attacks and combinations.
