Trophoblast cells are a type of cells found in the outer layer of an embryo. They play a crucial role in the early stages of pregnancy by forming the placenta, which provides nutrients and oxygen to the developing baby. These cells help establish a connection between the embryo and the mother's uterus, allowing the baby to grow and develop inside the womb.
