Childbirth education should be designed to allay the pregnant person's anxiety, not by avoiding mention of potentially
troubling labor situations, or minimizing concerns mentioned by the students, but rather by giving realistic portrayals of birth, encouraging expression of feelings, and dealing with them by informing, reframing, desensitizing, and strategizing ways to handle troubling situations.
