So I'm basically being forced to turn down the

awesome wage (the garlic - we'll only ever live off his income so if I have a bad farm year no big deal - just save during the good years, and his will be enough to cover the requisite monthly expenses mine would be retirement, health insurance (his work ins was $ 1,800 per month so we couldn't do it), kids» college, paying off that mortgage asap so we could be
truly debt free (aside from the PLSF, but that will be gone eventually too, or if I get enough from a great harvest pay it off then), etc..
