We
tried all sorts of different techniques like,
adding oil instead of butter, sifted flour or regular flour, egg whites beaten to stiff peaks, an extra egg yolk, whisking versus stirring,
baking powder, both
baking powder and
baking soda and bla bla bla.
I'm dying to
try them, but I have a question... I'm assuming that you've used AP flour because you
added salt and
baking powder as well?
Try adding an additional 1/2 teaspoon of
baking powder next time.
Add the lemon peel, flour, and
baking powder, and beat until a dough forms, then chill the dough for about 30 minutes (this is a great time to clean up the kitchen if you, like me, are
trying to get into the practice of cleaning while you go).
I have to share that I've
tried this multiple times, cutting the oil,
adding baking powder, chilling the batch overnight, etc. and they were flattening each time.
Update:
Tried adding an egg and some
baking powder to my standby sweet potato latke recipe.
I have
tried it twice so far and it is really delicious, (I have just
added 5g
baking powder).
I'm not sure as I haven't
tried adding brown rice protein
powder to anything
baked.
* If you don't have Dutch - processed cocoa
powder,
try adding the very smallest pinch (less than 1/8 teaspoon) of
baking soda to natural cocoa
powder to neutralize the acid in the natural variety of cocoa
powder.
When the first pancake didn't raise, I
tried adding more
baking powder to the rest of the batch.
If omitting egg is necessary,
try adding 3 tablespoons of warm water to 1 tablespoon of freshly ground flaxseed meal mixed with a pinch of
baking powder.
We
tried adding bunches of other things, like
baking powder and other leaveners to puff it up but the goodness seems to be in the
baked cheese and the little snap of crunch.
You could
try adding in a bit more
baking powder if you like next time!
Our next
try we modified slightly: eliminated the xanthan gum, reduced the oil to 1 T,
added 1/2 tsp double acting
baking powder (I am in Canada), 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp vanilla,
added 3 T plain greek yogurt.

tried adding some Sunwarrior protein
powder to any of your grain - free
baked treats, like these cookies or your pumpkin bars?
You could also
try adding 1 tsp of
baking powder.
So I'm
trying a lighter blend and less flour and even
added a little
baking powders to help and it's still not rising the dough on the first 30 minutes.
You can
try thickening the milk mixture with some of the tapioca starch instead and
adding baking powder for some lift.
Used my Cott Ch, fake eggs, cinn,
baking powder base and added to that Baking Soda (not recommended), and some vanilla (DEF
baking powder base and

To get them puffier
try adding 2 Tbsp of coconut flour and 1/2 tsp
baking powder!
I
tried these today and
added almond flour and
baking powder to fluff them up.
I decided to
try the basic idea of the two ingredient pancake, but make it more waffle friendly by
adding baking powder for fluff and coconut flour for thickness.

Adding powdered turmeric to a curry dish not only gives it a huge punch of flavour but it also packs a ton of nutrients into the dish,
add 1/2 inch of turmeric root to a smoothie or juice,
add to ginger tea, creamy porridge, homemade muffins or
baked goods, bliss balls or raw cashew cheesecakes... the list is endless!
You could also
try adding 1 tsp of
baking powder.
Next time I make a batch, I think I'll
try adding some chocolate chips and dark
baking powder.
