I'm making these again today and I'm going to
try cream of mushroom soup, cayenne pepper and a little garlic powder.

Never have
tried it with
cream of mushroom (here it's always
cream of chicken); and, I've also never
tried it with croutons (only have had it with cornflake / butter or potato chip / butter mix).
I was so excited to
try them, I didn't realize that I didn't have
cream of potato soup, so I substituted it with
cream of mushroom soup — they still tasted excellent!!

tried my hardest to veganize her recipe and this is the closest I could get... Grandma's recipe calls for
cream of mushroom soup and since I clearly wasn't using a canned dairy - based soup, I thought, why don't I just put it in a
mushroom?
I'm a vegetarian, so I'm going to

try to package «meal makers» — canned chicken with boxes
of Rice a Roni,
mushroom soup, tuna and noodles, Velveeta or other process cheese that does not need refrigeration, pepperoni sticks, non refrigeratable pizza crusts, canned pizza sauces applesauce in plastic jars, cans
of chicken and dumplings, SPAM or Treet luncheon meat, Pop Tarts, fruit snacks, instant oatmeal or
cream of wheat.
I am not a big fan
of using
cream in soups, so when I came across this little neat
mushroom soup recipe yesterday, I thought it was worth a
try.
