I've read that it doesn't have a long shelf life once it has been
ground up into flour from the
nut., Next I will
try and
grind my own flour using fresh
nuts and see if it turns out better.
i have
tried grounding mine and it ends up more like
nut butter, which i've experimented with in cookies etc. any tips are helpful!
I would also consider just
trying to substitute with some
ground almonds (at the same volume), assuming you can eat
nuts....

To replace
nut flour,
try ground flax seed / flax meal.

If you are struggling to blend
nuts you could
try either soaking them overnight to soften them or using almond flour /
ground almonds.
I used my nutribullet to
try chopping the
nuts but it just really
ground them into a flour consistency, with some larger portions, but this still worked really well.
Try adding
ground flaxseed,
nut butter, wheat germ or protein powder into your smoothies and shakes.
These are expensive and hard to find already
ground into flour, but here's how to soak
nuts and seeds at home in case you want to
try it yourself.

try ground sunflower seeds of more flax meal instead.

That being said, I haven't
tried the
ground flax seed with Almond flour (he's allergic to
nuts as well; I love this site and will be baking from it as soon as he is weaned).
