After a bad run in with some yucky tasting
protein powder I decided to give
hemp seeds a
try to add to my shakes.

Proteins Collagen but wanted to know if it is okay to take the 2 scoops / day while also using a
protein powder everyday (nutivia
hemp protein powder), or is that too much
protein to consume via
powder a day?
Haven't
tried these yet, but I was just reading about using
hemp hearts instead of
protein powder in smoothies!

tried to process it into sauce but it was too little apple for the food processor, so grated it was) 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon 3/4 tsp ground flax seeds 1/4 cup agave or your choice of sweetener 1/4 cup chocolate chips 3/4 cup hot water

tried substituting the brown rice
protein with other vegan
protein powders like soy or
hemp, but I do know that whey, casein and egg white

protein powders don't work for some reason, they turn really gooey and liquidy and sticky Although, you can
try using organic soy
protein powder, pea
protein powder or
hemp protein powder.
I also stay away from commercial
protein powders so I usually add
hemp seeds to my smoothies for
protein, but I'm totally going to
try the bean thing.
Other things you can
try: raw cacao
powder, cacao nibs, coconut oil,
hemp protein, fresh aloe vera (skin off), bee pollen.
We've been using both brands in our house to replace our
protein powder (and
trying out different
hemp proteins since we had never
tried them before) and have been really pleased with the taste and texture of both brands.
You can
try natural, full - fat yogurts sweetened with honey or maple syrup and topped with nuts, seeds, and berries for a tasty breakfast, whip up a chocolate smoothie using a vegan
protein powder or
hemp hearts, and send homemade granola bars for snacks.

As part of recommending a new
protein powder, I am
trying everything - egg, whey, soy,
hemp.
I have no doubt that the
hemp protein powder is the most nutritious of the two, and I
try to get more of it into my diet.
I would suggest
trying to track down a natural
hemp protein powder; I have seen them on the market in relatively clean, additive - free varieties.
It's because other people think THEY do, so I've been
trying out uses for pea and
hemp protein for my readers, which is so much better than whey or soy
protein powders.]
